Happy New Year to our ISES Members and Colleagues - Welcome to 2012!
As always I do hope that you all had a very well deserved holiday - we all know the pressure and intensity that Christmas brings to the events industry! 2012 brings us a new set of challenges - with the fast pace of change in technology, food design and product plus the continuous expectation to be more creative, unique and inimitable – the pressure on our industry and who work within it has never ever been so intense. We cannot as an industry nor you as a business stand still! We must ‘drill-down’ into our business, re-assess our offering and how we deliver and promote it. Dare I say it we must “change, diversify, add value, broaden our offer and/or collaborate with other businesses to attract another target market or gain more business from your current clients”!
I cannot emphasise enough to everyone reading this article to take the plunge – make the most out of the knowledge, intellect and skill from the highly experienced business owners/operators and event professionals across the country. Meet with them ask the questions, ask for advice, seek out a marketing or business analyst just to white-board the options to add value to your current offer! I am determined and committed to ensure the Event industry in this country flourishes – we have a voice we must use it and work together. You all have a choice what is it going to be in 2012?
We have 9 ISES members committed to attending the 25th Anniversary of ISES in Dallas, Texas. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet your peers from the Event industry from around the world. Be educated, network and source business in Dallas, Texas from 2-4 August, 2012.
