The International Special Events Society (ISES) is the only global umbrella organization that comprises of over 7,000 events professionals from over 38 countries representing special event Planners, Producers & Designers (from festivals, corporate and community events to exhibitions and trade shows), Convention & Party Planners, Educators, Journalists, Hotel Sales Managers, Convention Center Managers, Caterers, Tent Suppliers, Audio-Visual Technicians & suppliers, Rental companies, specialty Entertainers and Agencies, Artists, Photographers, Special Effects Experts, Travel & Transport operators, Speaker Bureaus and many more professional disciplines.
ISES was founded in 1987 to foster Creative Excellence through Education while promoting the highest level of Professional Conduct & Ethics. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the “event as a whole” rather than its individual parts. ISES has grown to involve over 7,000 members active in 49 chapters in Regions around the world. ISES has created a solid peer network that provides a platform for special events professionals to produce outstanding results for their clients and establishing a positive and productive working relationship with other event colleagues.

ISES offers accreditation through the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) program.
ISES honors industry excellence through its prestigious awards program, the ISES Esprit Awards. The Esprit Awards fuel a spirit of competition within designated categories. The categories with the Esprit De Corps Awards recognize the best and most creative within the special events industry. Esprit Awards gain global visibility and recognition for ISES members through general participation. The program honors professionals who exhibit a "spirit of excellence" in their work.
